Annie’s Project Farm and Ranch Business Management Course for Women Created Positive Impacts in 14 States: Read the Article

RISE staff members Cori Hyde and Arlene de la Mora published an article with three Iowa State University Extension and Outreach colleagues in the Journal of the NACAA (National Association of Country Agricultural Agents). The article describes the effectiveness of the Annie’s Project Farm and Ranch Business Management Course for Women in 14 states between 2013 and 2015. More than 677 women from 76 courses responded to a national survey. Annie’s Project courses were successful in extending knowledge in the five agricultural risk areas of finance, human resources, legal, marketing and production. Results indicate a statistically significant difference in the overall mean knowledge gains from pre-course assessment to post-course assessment with p>.01 in all content areas combined.
