Mandi Anderson

Research and Evaluation Scientist

Mandi first worked in RISE as a doctoral student, then as a program coordinator. She returned to RISE after retiring from a faculty position in teacher education. Her areas of expertise include quantitative and qualitative methods, evaluation planning, development of on-line and paper surveys, and written and oral communication. Mandi is especially interested in teacher education and professional development. Her current projects include evaluation of AgrowKnowledge, Atoms2XP, Reach Out Iowa, TEACH Math, and two foreign language learning projects.

Mandi completed her Ph.D. in Education and M.S. in Physical Education/Leisure Studies at Iowa State University and has a B.S. in physical education teaching with a minor in biology from the University of Northern Iowa. She spent 12 years as a high school and middle school teacher/coach before beginning graduate studies at ISU.
