Andrew is a third-year doctoral student in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies with a concentration in higher education. Andy earned a Master of Science degree in higher education from Iowa State University in 1996 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and government from the College of William and Mary in 1993.

Andy's research interests include the intersection of higher education and economic policy, particularly regarding the workforce development mission of community colleges. Andy is also interested in international students in US community colleges, faculty work and life balance, and the stability of students' considerations in responding to surveys.

A long-time fan, Andy's favorite sports memory is being in Boston to celebrate the Red Sox' 2004 World Series Win.
