Mandi Anderson brings a variety of work and life experiences to her role as an evaluator in RISE. Originally from West Liberty, IA, she graduated from UNI with a BS in physical education teaching and a minor in biology. She spent 12 years as a high school and middle school teacher/coach before beginning graduate studies at ISU. She completed her Masters degree in Physical Education/Leisure Studies and Ph.D. in Education.

Mandi first worked in RISE as a doctoral student, then as a program coordinator. She recently retired from a faculty position at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and returned to Iowa and RISE. Mandi is interested in teacher education and professional development and thrives on change and new challenges. When not working, she likes to travel, play with fibers and fabrics, exercise, golf, garden, and spend time with her sisters, children, grandchildren, and friends.
