Research Institute for Studies in Education (RISE)

Since 1974, the Research Institute for Studies in Education (RISE) has supported excellence in education research, evaluation, and assessment at Iowa State University, in the state of Iowa, nationally, and internationally.  As a unit in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies (ELPS), RISE provides practical and leadership experience for graduate students, collaborates with faculty on research and evaluation efforts, and engages in instruction.  RISE supports the college's institutional research activities, including conducting College alumni studies, conducting evaluations of academic programs, and contributing data for accreditation and program review.  RISE also has expertise in program and project evaluation using advanced levels of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, as well as survey research and development, data management, and reporting services for clients both on and off campus.
