Bio

About

While I started my career as a high school English and speech teacher, I discovered a passion for teaching college students when I started my Master’s program. After completing that degree, I stayed at Iowa State as a teaching professor in the English department. I particularly enjoyed teaching gender studies courses and bridging my K-12 and higher education passions by teaching teacher preparation courses. Currently, I am working to complete my PhD in the School of Education. Outside of these professional pursuits, I enjoy spending time with loved ones–playing nerdy games, traveling and trying new food, watching movies, and being outside with my dog.
